I have an access cab. I haven't had to sleep in it but I guess two people could if they had to. I think getting a shell and sleeping in the back is gonna be much more comfortable though. Why would you wanna wake up all cramped and busted up when you could get a good nights sleep in the back. But, where you gonna keep all your stuff? Access cab is kinda small compared to a double cab. So I'd have to recommend double cab long bed. The auto tranny is great.

I've slept in the bed of my 07 DC (Auto). It fits a double inflatable mattress perfectly (that you can inflate with the bed outlet!!). I have a retrax rolling cover and just pulled back a foot or so and had a tent fly/tarp strung up for space around my head. It was awesome. Great sleep!!! Attached photo for ya!

    I agree...

I was hung up on the 6-speed manual until I drove the auto 5-speed...

You will get better mileage from the auto, and I would be inclined to say that it is just as quick or quicker than the 6-speed...

Also, the auto comes w/ tons more drivetrain related features that are not available w/ the manual...

Went to a party last night for our Hockey team. One of the guys has a beautiful cabin in the woods and there were about 15 of us there. While there was plenty of room for everyone to crash,I went prepared to sleep in the truck.I took my North Face Goliath bag and a pillow and slept under the tonneau in the back.I left the rear panel of my tri-fold unlatched but closed and it reached -8 degrees Celsius.Next time I'll bring a pad....There was lots of room but when I rolled over the ribs on the floor woke me up........That and the drunken hollering, and singing coming from the cabin.:D

Yeah, before I nerded out on the in-bed-bed I would toss a sheet of plywood in the bed to make a flat surface+ Thermarest= comfy bed.

slept in my truck last weekend and i'll be doing it again this weekend.

i've found that I sleep a whole hell of a lot better while inside a sleeping bag instead of just on the seat.

I had to live in my truck for 2 1/2 months after I lost my job and couldn't pay rent. Took showers at the 24 hr. fitness (friend worked there, let me in at 2am).

    I made it.

I've done it several times. I've slept in the back seat with the seats folded down, the front seat fully reclined several times and in the truck bed once.
