Welcome to TW!! I guess it all depends on what you want. I would think either the westin or oem would be nice and yes it should be an easy job to do at home. You may want a partner to help hold them up instead of trying to use a jack ad solo the job.

I went with the powder coat black Westins and really like them so far. Super easy to install and only took me a half hour by myself. Look pretty sharp.

I purchased oem running boards from trdparts4u, boards came attached to brackets-removed plugs and tightened 6 bolts per side-easy with 2 people 15-30 minutes tops.

I took a print out of the price to the dealership from trdparts4u.com and asked them to price match what I could get the black OEM running boards for online. They happened to have a set in stock and priced matched the internet price. Saved me from paying shipping and didn't have the dealership markup.

Heres the P/N: PT767-35113 (Set of Black Tube Steps for Double Cab Long Bed)

Installation was very simple. I used a jack stand with a rag to align and hold up one end while I started the screws on the other end. Dont tighen till all the brackets are screwed in and you aligned the boards. Took about 15-20min to install.

I perfered the OEM running boards cause I liked the wider step but they dont stick out too much.

Picts of them on the truck in my photo album.

    Welcome to TW!

These are the tubular style factory ones. I like these a tad better. They are bolt on. Very easy to do
