This is only through the 09? Dosent seem like they would have changed anything from 09 through 2012 on this cable.

By that logic you think it wouldn't have taken until 2012 for them to issue the recall. Someone at some point had to take a step back, look, say "fuck", and went from there in the back half of 2009/front of 2010.

Well look at the rear spring TSB, originally it was only for 05-09, then they added 10, then 11, etc..

I might go into the dealership and force them to either show me that the 2010 has a new version (i.e. part number) or replace it under the recall. I have a really good dealer in Tucson so I am sure they will.

Spoke with toyota on the phone (using number listed few posts above). I have been specifically told that:
#1 YOU HAVE TO HAVE PROOF OF PAYMENT or else there will be no refund
#2 NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED UNTIL all parts arrive, letters arrive and LETTERS will tell you where to mail in your stuff

I was still given a 8-10 week refund window.

Was told by the local service manager that no parts are available.
I said "well my light is on".
"Oh in that case I have the part, can you bring it in on Wednesday? It should take an hour..."
I'll post when the work is done.

Does anyone know if you will get a refund and a replacement of the clock spring? If your clock spring was replaced, was it replaced with the same part that is recalled? If so, wouldn't Toyota be responsible for both?

I got my notice today on the recall. Toyota says they are working on a fix, nothing available yet. Will send a second notice when new replacement part is available.
My airbag light has not come on yet, so no worry, will wait for real fix.
If you already had yours fixed you can apply for a refund on your repairs, but you will still want to get the fix done right when they have it.

Yes, but you have to apply for the refund on the fix you paid for, and yes they will fix it again when the parts are available.
If you have not already, you should register your vehicle at toyotaowners website, must enter vin # , then you will get notified by mail, FYI
