    Anyone good with wiring? I'm planning on using a 6" led light bar I bought on an aquarium. I know I'll need a 12v 18w power supply. Most I've found show 1.5amp do I need a specific amperage or will 1.5 amp be fine?

    The current I in amps (A) is equal to the power P in watts (W) , divided by the voltage V in volts (V):
    I(A) = P(W) / V(V)
    So
    amp = watt / volt
    or
    A = W / V

    If you use a lower rating its going to be dimmer then its should be.

    So a 12v 18w 1.5a is what I need then according to that.

    That given the info you gave, the light listed draws 1.5 amps. LED's are very finicky when it comes to power, so your better off getting another power supply.
