Haha I agree this is ridiculous. I'm not too worked up about the stock horn. Just thought I could maybe find a replacement that had a different and better sound. Obviously this one failed :p Good thing the kind sir denied I pay for it and gave it fo FREEEEEEEEEEE

Changed the oil with Mobil1 and a Toyota filter, changed the tranny fluid with Mobil1, changed the t-case oil with Lucas 75w-90 and replaced all washers on fill/drain plugs. Remounted my liscense plate to the lower left corner of my tailgate. Finally extended the speedo sensor wire so it could reach the sensor on the t-case. Been with out a working speeometer for about 3 months now... lol :p Sure is nice to have my cruise control working again. Also, got a lot of progress done on my ARB install and regear. It is taking a long time to get the preloads and back lash set though... Currently working on the carrier bearing preload and backlash right so I can get the first contact pattern.

replace it with a horn from an 01-04 and it will sound normal. I remember my 97's sounding like that. Kind of defeats the purpose of honking at someone when your pissed! lmao they just laugh even more

Do you have auto or stick? Only reason i ask is on my 94 if my foot was resting on the clutch pedal, it was just enough pressure on the switch to not allow cruise. Thought i had an issue, turns out it was just driver error.

    yea i will do that

Yes the clutch and brake both turn off the cruise control. I found that if i use the clutch to switch it off it usually will come back on when i get back up to speek..not so with the brake :notsure:

yes and no. Electical to engage it, but it uses vaccum from the motor to tell how fast your going(rpms) then holds the throttle cable in the same position to keep that same vaccum going..in a nut shell anyways.
