Definately a quote someone whos never been to gorman will say lol.
Gorman gets FREEZING at night, I can't stress enough to everyone, please overprepare to be warm at night, I've never once gone there and not been painfully cold because I didn't pack enough blankets or sleeping bags, forgot a nice jacket, wood etc. Its supposed to be low 50's high 40's friday/sunday at night. Your better off having it and not needing it than not having it and needing it.

I can't drink.... well... I'm not SUPPOSED to drink anyways
I take 4 different medications for my shoulder that i just had surgery on from my motorcycle accident. Some non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and some narcotic pain killers, but ALL of them have adverse side affects with alcohol. Taking them together is already enough of a trip, having alcohol just makes it even crazier

Although it sounds like fun, which it is its not exactly a smart or very safe thing to do. So I try to avoid alcohol right now.

Friday night is going to be unbearable pain cuz the cold makes it super bad already, and to top it off I won't take my meds since I'm drinking Friday, so its gonna suck!! But I'm sure this trip will be worth 1 night of FML

 

Holy hell. That sounds intense I hope you finish the meds soon so you can drink again haha

 

Thanks but its not looking good. Pain and swelling came back after surgery so I might need a second operation. Its been 10 months since my accident and I'm just as bad as day 1 still. Over $100k in treatment and nothing to show for it Thanks though I'm hanging in there

 

Man I feel for when you are 40 you are going hurting unit.

 

I know FML :banghead: I've spent the last 6 years working to be a cop and now I may never be able to if this doesn't get fixed. My degree, work experience, firearms training and permits all for nothing. So I really hope for my futures sake that it gets better. The settlement should be generous but money can't make up for losing everything you've ever wanted. Just gotta stay positive and hope for the best I guess
