My truck is pretty sweet so I went ahead and skipped 2.0 and 3.0:laugh::D

    -Super Werty 1.0

A true beast and incredible drag strip performer. Unparalleled consistency and smooth awesome power....lasted 96,000 miles until its untimely death at the track. Died running a 12.9 @ 105 mph:laugh:

Pictures coming soon. Several holes in the block, pistons flipped 180* facing down, rods bent, twisted, and shattered. Block torn to pieces inside, crank destroyed, etc.

    Super Werty 2.0

Bought an engine with 38K miles from a company called "Midwest Transmission Distributors" BEWARE

located in Gilbert Arizona I was only an hour away so I drove up to pick it up. Walked up to it and saw all the exhaust manifold bolts were stripped out of the heads, wire harnesses were crudely cut everywhere and then the big one...number 6 cylinder was leaking a ton of oil, coming out the head. aka blown ring

They tried to make me pay a 25% restocking fee when i said it was junk. I told them they better refund it if they dont want to see my lawyer. Got my full refund but they very proudly told me they would sell it to someone else. Hopefully no one i know on XRU or TW:thumbdown:

    Super Werty 3.0

Went to Toyota and asked them to do all the work and supply the new engine. They got it from LKQ. Looked really nice. 2 or 3 weeks later it was installed, they started it up and it starts leaking fluid everywhere. Come to find a freeze plug popped off the refurbished head. So LKQ sent a new head out and 2 weeks later it was done and I drove off. less than 200 miles into my new truck ANOTHER #$%^@#% freeze plug popped off!:motz:

This time it overheated to 250*. I towed it back to Toyota and said lets try this again. A new engine was ordered...

    Super Werty 4.0

Have had it back now for just over a week and it isnt leaking yet:laugh:

Im driving it like a grandma like I normally do. LKQ still owes me for the 12 qts of amsoil and 2 filters I wasted. Hopefully no more freeze plug issues. Head mechanic said he had never seen one come off in 15 yrs of experience...and then I had 2 in a row back to back. unbelievable

truck was out for 2 months:thumbdown: I couldve done a monster build in that time, but its too late now...

X1 for sale soon and maybe some more parts.

no I dont think boost was the issue, was only making about 8-9 psi

i think i got some bad e85 or possibly the increased rev limiter was too much. I think the e85 is more likely though, it had been running rough just 2 days before and it had never been like that on e85...

Glad to see that you got her back up and running! I give you a lot of credit for building such a badass truck, maybe just boost this motor and leave it at that?

Could be a combo of both. Production engines have a safe piston speed of between 3500 and 3800 fpm (feet per Min.). While some are closer to 3000 FPM. @ 5500 RPM our engines have a piston velocity of about 3428 fpm. At 6000 rpm, that goes to 3740. Right at the "high" level of piston velocity. At 6500 rpm the speed is 4051, which is in the "Built engine" realm of piston speeds. To put this in perspective, F1 engines at max. rpm have a piston speed of about 5200 FPM. NASCAR engines are around 5400.

    Lots.
That was freaking me out for a second. I've always seen piston speeds expressed in m/s not FPM.

pics are about what I expected after watching your youtube video.

Good luck with the new truck.
If you don't mind me asking, how much did toyota charge you for
the engine and install? Did you shop around?
