It's normal for the core support to start to fail after a while... All part of the fun

i grinded out the stock mounting tabs, welded in a new bottom plate with tabs on it to hold the batteries in place. Welded a peice of 1/4" allthread to the bottom plate, measured tight and bent a 1/8" flat bar, drilled a center hole, and used a washer, lock washer, and wing nut to tighten it down. Its all pretty stout too

Yea I really wanna attend those races, but I heard SNORE is real strict and you cant really drive around and spectate where you want. We should get a good group going to Primm for BAP, i totally wanna spectate that race

Like a battery box that will cover up the battery on all corners? nop, those battery boxes are real expensive. Im just gonna go with the standard fabbed batt mounts and put it in the bed. Ive got a couple buddies who have the same setup and they havent complained when it rains.

This is what i was rocking for a couple years, I forget which batt mount i have. Bolts werent holding it down good enough while mashing, so we ended up welding it to the support at some sections. Anyways, like what nelson-matt said the sheet metal fatigues over time. I havent removed the batt yet, but Im sure there's cracks on the sheet metal. lol Moving it to the bed will help with the infamous "taco lean" as well. :)

Tuned correctly it could handle just as well as any other link setup

One of my favorite cantilever link setups:

I stand corrected. I read the build on RDC and it seemed like as soon as it was all together and ready to go he posted up how he stuffed it at Glamis.

Beautiful truck. Shame to hear he rolled it. Love that rear set up. I like the one piece rocker that looks to be CNC'd.

Link to the testing video? or thread on RDC?
