Weird noise under hood

    So I've noticed tht when I take off from a red light or stop sign tht my truck makes a noise kinda like the sound of a turbo in some cars makes. It kinda sounds like a siren and I would look behind me for cops and would realize tht it's coming from under the hood. Does anyone know what this noise could be. I'm sure it's nothing bad

    Toyota has been known to lube the drivebelt of certain models with rare endangered Amazonian Speckled Turtle dung. It does emit weird sounds now and then, but doesn't usually sound like a siren or turbine. Maybe they're using the cheaper Peruvian Spotted Turtle dung now :notsure:

    yea it is the truck my dad gave me I will prob ask him tomorrow if there is something he's not telling me

    Nah man I had a Tacoma before this one and the belt was going bad and there's a big difference in noise

CBI bolt on sliders. BSP color matched M1 Satoshi grill. BHLM. UWS low profile black powder coat crosover truckbox. Pioneer DVD/CD head unit - 4 channel amp - front mids & highs - 8" sub box.
    If you no have supercharger then you may look around for a cracked or collapsed vacuum line. Had o collapsed vac line on an old buick one time that made the siren like noise.....woooooh wooooh woooo!! :D

    It looks supercharged. There's a cover and the engine is several inches under it

    If it doesn't have TRD on it then it's not a supercharger. IIRC there's no cover.
