    I only aired down to 15 in order to break in the sidewalls (about 50 miles offroad). I will not be airing down that low again.


    You won't roll over because your sway bar is off... just do the speed limit and pay attention and youll be fine.

    Just do it and try. If you don't like it then put it back on when you get a bolt.

    Your semi-independent front suspension will become truly independent.
    Better flex, smoother ride & better traction because only the wheel affected by dips & bumps will react. Tack it off, go on the trip and you probably wont want to put it back on!

    I recently put my 255/85 KM2's on and I love them. They do look a little skinny from the front but they have had little effect on my gas mileage and they are fairly quite on the road.

    Before this I ran 265/70/16 cooper discoverer st. They were simular for road noise. With the 255s I am getting right around 15 mpg and this is around town. I run premium 90 though. Before when I had the 265/70s i was getting between 15 and 16 mpg. To be honest i have not really noticed to much of a change in gas mileage. No long road trips on highways because i live on an island, so i can't comment on highway mpg. I have the 6speed manual and i actually like the 255s better because my first gear used to be to low and with the 255s, 1st gear seems more usable. Just my 2cents.

    My wheel B/S and caster are different then yours I'm sure so I didn't cut anything yet. Been wheeling a bunch and only rub once in a great while. When I rotate the tires in 4k Ill cut into it.

    Just cut off whats rubbing and no more. From the looks of it you just need to remove a 2" long section about 1/2" up.

    Ditch the Antisway bar. Far more comfortable on the road. When you hit a pot hole only one side articulates so the whole truck doesn't go BAM. It leans a little but I don't even notice it anymore. And I routinely hit corners going 15mph over the limit with no feeling of unsteadiness from the vehicle. Try it, you'll like it.


    Second you turn into a parking lot with a sidewalk your going to rub that hard.

    Get the dremel ready now.

    Yeah, that's what happened today... left turn onto a sidewalk and BRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAA. Dusting off the Dremel. And, yes, I'll be removing that swaybar soon since not one soul has told me to keep it on. :laugh:

    It's even worse backing up while turning. Sounds like your truck is trying to rip itself apart. Makes all heads turn.

    Doesn't on 2nd gens. Plastic is way thicker and harder. Dremel is the best bet.

    Installed 255/85R16 cooper s/t's on saturday, put 300+ miles on them. So far they seem like a good tire just alittle stiff being a 10ply tire on a light truck.

    lol okay.... a little confusing when your info says you have a manual X-runner...

    Went down a steep decline yesterday with a serious off camber, given the left side was eatin out by rain run-off. Got a little sketchy when i slide into the rut multiple times and got the right-rear wheel in the air. Made me think of your observation on the KM2.

    Anybody running the Toyo M-55? Looks like a cool tire, in between an A/T and an M/T. I've heard they wear like iron, but might be a little too stiff for a light pick-up. I think they're 10ply? But the stiffness might be spot on for a tall skinny like the 255/85.
