first 30 feet as in pulling you out or just 30 feet in general, all I would have needed is a little tug up like 20 feet worth of hill/trail, from there I would have been fine

Best bet is to call ur buds, they will always do their best to get you out. Always wheel with others. Glad you got out ok.

I recall back in the early 90's wheelin behind upper Otay on Procter and some old fugger (no offense Doug) started taking shots at me from the road while I was up toward the top of Mt Miguel, hope that has changed since then, taht shit was scary and way over the top, just ask and if I'm out of line I'll respectfully leave

HA! Meaning if that fucker drives 30ft off pavement that usual $50-$100 little tug just turned into a $500+ monster..

I live in Eastlake, yea I usually off road off by the 125 because it doesnt get too rough down there but today I felt like trying something different  actually went down there after I got out but some of the trails that are deeper in are flooded. And after getting stuck once I really didnt wanna push my luck

I only have one friend with a truck, its a 05 F-150, he came out to help but by then the 4runner had shown up. But his truck doesnt have that much ground clearance plus he has street tires so Im not sure how it would have ended

Always important to know you and your trucks limits, we have all learned the hard way, some the very very hard way, glad you are ok, just mark it down in your mind as a limit that you cannot attempt without the appropriate company. Sorry if that's preachy, just trying to share

yea well this is actually the first time ive gone out without another truck because my friend recently traded in his 06 Prerunner for an 05 G35, plus this was a new trail and it didnt look that bad going down it. Also this was the first time out with that truck, the other truck I used to wheel in was 4wd

Just fyi, if you are ever in a situation where you need more traction to get out... lower the tire pressure! Beats sleeping in the boonies without camping gear! (IDEA: next time get a 4WD if you like to go into such places)

    is it prerunner friendly?

I dont normally dont that kind of off roading, but all said and done it was kind of fun (not getting stuck the trail part). It made me reconsider LT and made me rethink a 4wd conversion
