Once somethings all sold and done, so you guys want us to report it requesting a lock? delete? or just leave SOLD on top of first post and let it fall into the diahrrea filled derp bowels of TW. Always wondered if there was an official way to go about that.

Personally I think reporting for deletion is best option as it gets rid of unwanted treds.

    Awesome man, thx.

Can I myself get a button to administer 5-minute bans? But only like 2-3 times every 24 hour period so I don't abuse it :spy:

Tapatío is a hot sauce, produced in Vernon, California, that can be found at many grocery stores in the United States. It rates 3,000 on the scale of Scoville units.[1]
"Tapatío" is the name given to people from Guadalajara, Jalisco: the company's founders come from Guadalajara. It is exported to Mexico, Canada, Central America and a few countries in Europe.
The ingredients, as listed on the product label, are: water, red peppers, salt, spices, garlic, acetic acid, xanthan gum and sodium benzoate as a preservative. Tapatío comes in four sizes: 5, 10, and 32 fl oz., and 1 gallon (148, 296, 946 ml and 3.785 liters), as well as in 7 gram packets.
The product slogan is "Es una salsa ... Muy salsa" (roughly, "It's a very saucy sauce!")
In 2011, Frito Lay released a line of Tapatío flavored Doritos,[2] Ruffles,[3] and Fritos[4] in the United States.[5]
    [edit]Company background

The Tapatío Hot Sauce company was started in 1971 by Jose-Luis Saavedra, Sr., in a 750-square-foot (70 m2) warehouse in Maywood, California.[6] In 1985, the company moved to a 8,500-square-foot (790 m2) facility in Vernon, California, 5 miles (8.0 km) from Downtown Los Angeles. Although larger than the first location, the new factory had a single loading dock and limited storage space, which created a new series of problems for the company. After a long search, a site was found where for a developer to custom-build a new 30,000-square-foot (2,800 m2) facility, which Tapatío presently occupies. The new factory has several loading docks and automated production.

I think they should stay avilable. Some times useful information is passed in them. Like gear ratios, back spaceing, other random specs about what fits and what doesn't. Sometimes i find more useful info in a fs thread than the "useful" threads.

    Don't delete... just lock.

It's nice to be able to go back and see what something sold for to get an idea of a fair asking price.

The buying market and the trolls will let you know what a fair asking price is... If it is priced too high the thread police will tell you or it just won't sell

Ya, but if you need to move it quickly, it's nice not to have to wait to find out.

And the Marketplace trolls should be banned without warning.
It's usually newbies who haven't read the rules or don't care... and thread crapping over pricing in the marketplace has been a bannable offense on every forum I've ever been on.

We have a system like this already in operation. Being as the Tacoma World staff is highley trained to handle Derps, we suggest hitting the report button ([IMG]) found at the bottom left hand corner of a post. This triggers an alarm indicating a 4-23a (Derp In Progress), and we can react accordingly. Now, TW doesnt have the funds in the budget to train all who start threads in this specialized training. It is not taken lightly. Furthermore, Sometimes, someone thinks they spot a Derp, and say "DERP!!!!" while trying to single out the offending party, only to have the other party identify them as Derps. In that instance, there could be a Derp Standoff, if not for our skillz to investigate, and propperly identify Derp. If everyone had power to remove the Derp, first, we would be down to 3 or 4 members. Second, the bandwidth taken from all the Derp Removal activities, would slow the site to dial up speeds. If anyone has questions, please feel free to PM one of the TW Staff using the PM Icon ([IMG]), right next to the Report Icon ([IMG]).

Thank you for choosing Tacoma World.

I know this is resurrecting an old thread but on another forum, we use prefixes to identify a thread. FS "For Sale", SOLD "item has been sold", WTB "Want to buy" or FOUND "I found a great deal". You can set them up within vb.

We tend to leave threads around as a benefit to members who might be looking to sell something and want an idea of current pricing and so that those looking to buy something will have an idea what items have sold for.
