I would love to have a M1A. But anymore guns have to wait, I gotta get my car worked out before I can get more toys. My rifle is just a Mossberg 100ATR .270 that I got for $200 to use as a plinker, and since it was so cheap I dont mind just spraying it with a can instead of Duracoat. And that knife is the one I carried my whole time in Afghanistan. I was happy when I opened one of the boxes that got shipped with my car and saw it sitting there......

Hitman if you want to hit it with duracoat I have a few bottles you can have you'll just need an airbrush gun to apply it.

Go to a gun range and shoot everything. Guns are like everything else, one person is gonna like a certain gun and it may not be for you. See what fits in your hand and feels comfortable.

Glocks are very popular and sometimes I think it's because it's name recognition. For me personally they are to big for my hand. I love my springfield xd. Plan on buying the xd 45 soon and giving my xd 9 to my wife to use.

How do you like the Baby Eagle? I had a .40 with the tactical polymer frame, and fucking love that gun. I truly regret selling it. Great handling gun, and accurate as hell. Only thing I hated was the break down.

ah HA! One of THE most comfortable pistols I have ever owned. I dont think the Witness gets the attention it deserves.

Very cool! I had a 50 year old welder that could have used a good refurb. I just finished restoring a '65 Triumph Bonniville. It was a hell of a project, as my friend and I had to machine many bolts, and wrenches ourselves, as finding the correct wentworth bolts is hard, and expensive.

I jealous you have a Wilton Steve! :D

I've been looking for one lately but most are more then I want to spend. Around $150 - $350 depending on the type. Def one the best vises and still around today so parts are easy to come by for those.

It is mounted on a construction site special :D Looks like the bottom part of a large air compressor tank about 30" in dia. with a 3" sch. 40 steel post welded to a 1/4" flat plate and the vise bolted to it.
Kind of cumbersome to move around but mobile and solid when it gets where I need it.
    Well worth the investment
I use the crap out of it and it never blinks an eye.

does anyone know how the Sunrise area is looking after the wild fire out there? I was thinking of maybe getting a small camping trip going and I love that area and there are numerous trails out there to go out for a day and get lost

I have a bench grinder like that that my grandfather let me have after he got a bigger one. Bottom is a cast iron rotor from a 1 ton truck then 3" Sch. 40 steel post to a 1/4" plate that the grinder is on.

Yeah, the only trigger that felt better on a semi auto, is the one on my Sig. I think my Witness is the gun I most regret selling. I had the Weapon Works do a "Reliability" job on it, and some other things. Thing was great.

I believe some of the forest service roads up there are still closed. Access to the west fokr and east fork is open, but beyond that I am not sure.
