    $22,699 is the asking price?

No flame intended, but an '08 DC 4x4 Sport with under 6,000 miles just left the local lot for $23,500.

Pretty much still "new" all the way around... FWIW

Not to argue, just a comment, He can ask for whatever he feels it is worth. And either someone pays the amount or he has to budge with the price. Someone or something has to give. The other is a dealership has to keep moving vehicles on and off their lot. Just a thought.

Certainly he can. Some buyers do pony up without first having examined the market. I would not deter anyone from getting all they can get. The reality is that "most" people do their homework before committing to something as large as a late model vehicle purchase. Offering up a comparison price allows him to factor values and gain interest from the potential buyer, who by price along may have just moved on to the next ad.

If it were mine and not eating anything, (i.e. paid off) and if I didn't mind sitting on it in our deflated economy, I may hold out for mo' money. Keep in mind the seller has to market it aggressively so its sold before another years depreciation sets in and hope for the long dullas.
