I know several of you guys have tatoos, but what about piercings? I just got my first piercing today (lobe) and gotta say I really like it. My plan was to stretch 'em down to eventually to a 00. Right now I've got a 14gauge ear ring in. Anyone else got any peircings?

Also, I've been really wanting to get some tatoos. Anybody have any advice for me? I've been contemplating this for a long time and honestly can't make a decision on what exactly I want. Haha

I am re-piercing both my ears this next week.

I havent had any real major ink done because I couldnt decide until just recently. I didnt want to get something skethcy, or mobbed up.

I have my full sleeve planned out now, just waiting for my artist to have some free time to start my sessions. Asn soon as he gets back from vegas, I hope to go in to start my wrists next week.

I've gotten my nipples pierced twice- Got them done in HS...Took them out to play water polo in college...and got them re-done about a year ago.

I've got several tattoos....Most recently my sons foot prints on my rib cage.

Find a good artist that you like their art, their personality and style, and the shop they work in. Make it meaningful art. Kinda interesting to watch when I'm getting ink laid down that I spent hours drawing the design and making the way I wanted it- and seeing someone walk in a pick a piece of the wall and get it done same day. If it's what you really want...great...but make sure. Consider where you get it done too...It can cause you to not be hired or lose jobs in the future...If that doesn't bother you go for whatever...other wise....be smart about it.

Most of all..Have fun- Tattoos are as much the experience as the art....Enjoy it!!

    well said.

I thought and thought and thought about what I wanted to incorporate, and where I wanted it.

whatever you do, dont get anything about a g/f or wife or fuckbuddy.

my buddy on the RR had his ex. wifes portrait on his chest...not so cool when you are trying to screw your new g/f...

I'm debating about the wife thing right now...Mine got kinda bent outta shape when i told her i wouldn't get her name or anything on me...I don't dig portraits personally...but she wanted to get names or something...and I said no. OOPS

We'll see-Might change...but I agree with no wife/g/f/booty calls. how I feel about my son will never change...and I have the initials of a good friend of my who was killed hidden in one tattoo...that will never change.

I don't think that's a good idea man. I hate the way that looks, JMO of course.
FWIW, I'm not some straight edged preppy kid, I know exactly what your avatar is and really like A7X.

I'm in the same boat with you as tats though.
I really want to get sleeves but can't find anything I like enough to fill my arms. Flames and Tribals are just too overdone.

I've had both my earlobes pierced, the cartilage on my left ear pierced (hurt like a son of a bitch and would wake me up if I rolled over on it in the middle of the night) and had my tongue pierced about 2 years ago.

I've got a few tattoo ideas I want to get Homer Simpson holding his hands in prayer and looking reverently upwards with a banner at the bottom that says "Praise Jebus" on my calf. And probably a strip of bacon wrapped around the opposite calf.

But I've got no cash for that kind of stuff now.

Stretching isn't for everyone. I personally like it, but I'm not a huge fan of the ones that are absolutely huge. 00 is probably the largest I'll ever go. A7X has been my favorite band since Waking the Fallen came out. Incredible band.

I'm having a hard time thinking of a tattoo design. I've wanted sleeves for about as long as I can remember but my lack of artistic ability is really holding me back. I know I want something to pay homage two of my friends who are no longer with us but other than that I can't really think of anything for sure. No tribal designs or anything like that though.
