CK can now almost be ran in 2wd. Its been so graded from what it was. There are a couple bypasses that make it fun still. Jason if you think of the trail we went on its worse part is about double what CK has (minus the bypasses) CK is just longer in length. Fun to get the elevation change though, specially in the winter when you can hit snow :)

Ahh ok - thanks Brandon for the insight! I really liked that trail we went on. It was fun!

I was kinda looking forward to a challenge, but got a little scared when I saw 6" lifted Jeeps with full lockers having a hard time. I think one even received a little body damage. I was like... ok maybe I will be taking the bypasses.

Bah, when mine hit 3K I got the vast majority of the pinstripes I have now back in the old Butcher Jones in the back washes (quad trails, now closed off). Once you break it in, then the real fun starts :p

And thats why I am glad I have a white truck. You can barely see my pinstripes and have to look really close. Jake, your truck looks like its been in a fight with freddy kruger.

We'll have to watch it. Last I saw on the news last night it was 4 miles n/e of Crown King which is pretty damn close. Hopefully they get it contained. That's the opposite side of where the 4x4 trail is. I'll keep an eye on the news.

My mom sent me a picture of the fire from our street up north... Decent sized fire. She said it's north, and shouldnt jeopardize CK.

Edit: ^^ did not know it grew to that size overnight! She sent me the picture yesterday. Damn.. :(

Well, at least we have another month before the run. The fire should be out, but it will just depend on how bad the winds are and if it spreads to the south side. If they contain it to the north and get it out soon, we should be good.

Thats not the first time they have had to Evac to Mayer. That's my hometown. Closest thing to CK. They use my highschool and our football field. They set up tents, emergency crews, fire dept, helo's, etc. I'll see if i can get pics via my mom. She's a teacher and we can see the school and the fire from our house.
