I couldn't stand my chrome grill anymore..

Here's where i got the paint from:
    http://motors.search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?sofocus=bs&sbrftog=1&dfsp=1&satitle=toyota&sacat=-1%26catref%3DC6&fmmk=&fmmd=&fylo=&fyhi=&mppfqy=toyota&sadis=200&fpos=90620&sabfmts=1&saobfmts=insif&ftrt=1&ftrv=1&saprclo=&saprchi=&seller=1&sass=spraycansunlimited&fsop=1%26fsoo%3D1&coaction=compare&copagenum=1&coentrypage=search&fgtp=
I definitely recommend them...I received my order the next day

Anyway... Here are the steps i took to paint my grill:

Here's the paint, adhesion promoter, primer sealer and clear coat that i used:
    IMG00235_4b1fbdaec6441ccef64962e7754bae591bedc36e.jpg

Started sanding: (left side is NOT sanded...Right side IS sanded)
    IMG00231_29af2b5af1d83b1c25e9a32d26a4ca65e8d656df.jpg

    All Sanded:
    IMG00232_6b51cf32020c145d320e69f2b65a6f8b2a180567.jpg

Taped off and sprayed with Adhesion Promoter:
    IMG00233_007a659d391a0fb71a3cf1a4a3acb6d1b76b8a88.jpg
Here's a close up with the sprayed on Adhesion Promoter:
    IMG00234_9aff99517670044e9609c6275efbdef4b7aa0f54.jpg

After 4 coats of the Adhesion Promoter, i then began to spray the primer:

    IMG00237_05697b2ba2dc632a1e6f64b71a1cedc74fb4d48a.jpg

The Primer is dry, On to the paint :D

While waiting for the grille to dry, I decided to also paint my front grill emblem...
    IMG00239_132a4d07b24a4094684d7e7700241602815f9013.jpg

    Here's the end result:

    IMG00242_c7394212b6199b5e40aae71cb4226334a388c4ec.jpg

And here it is mounted back on the truck:

    IMG00246_ec3c048e15987b67303c235a86f5abd67ce9a86b.jpg

I definitely want to add a couple more coats of clearcoat to make it shine even more...
Also, i just went through a drive-thru car wash... and no chips or anything... :D

I will get better pictures tomorrow.. (It's late out now)

I left my chrome mesh grill off for now...I'm probalby gonna have it powdercoated black
i also have a set of eyelids coming my way...

that looks awesome, I would do that if I didnt already love the contrast of my charcoaly colored grill surround. I'm trying to mod a standard emblem into the devil horns. If it works out I will paint it white so it really stands out

I think that once you spend $100 you get $20 in rewards...
