Each one is different. I have the disclaimer, but everyone has to go thru the process to get the reward form. It's annoying, because they put you thru this little quiz to make sure you read the pages... But once you get thru that you go thru the basic setup of the device and the other annoying part of checking all those boxes that match on the device in your computer. I took my laptop out to my car to set it up, made everything much easier. Now I just have some PDF's to email off to 'em (yes, you can do it all electronically... signing the form is interesting, but that's the biggest wrinkle.)

Ok, found the place in my truck for this. Because it has a long windshield mount, I was able to mount it alongside my Garmin, using the long arm to bring the UG below my Garmin. I then routed the wires down the door, alongside the Garmin ones. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1336886751.838530.jpg

So far, I think this will be how I have it. Just need to calibrate it now!

For anyone who has mounted it above the rearview mirror, how did you run the wire? I understand tucking it into the headliner all the way over to the pillar, but what did you do when you got to the pillar?

Take the pillar off and run it with the rest of the wires. At least thats what I plan on doing. I think there is a thread on how to remove it here somewhere.

Edit: here is a link to one of them, (starts at step 10 with pillar)

I just ran mine in the weather stripping up to the top and tucked it in the piece of the pillar that comes off and ran it into the headliner from there. I didn't need to take anything off. You may gain a little extra wire at the mirror to tuck in if you take the pillar out though.

I just loosened the pillar enough to get the wire to go underneath. But I've since moved mine since it wouldn't stay in the clip and kept falling when driving and dangling from the rear view. That got old quick plus my wife kept on me about how I was going to wreck looking up at it. So I put it on the steering column with an L bracket and some double sided tape. It is a little less distracting there I guess.

So far I've added an Advance folding bed cover and since removed it. Gave it to my son in Maine, he has an 05 2wd. GT perfect fit seat covers. Weathertech floor mats and window vent visors. Waag center brush/grill guard. Hose clamp tailgate mod. Turned off the seat belt chime. Added Ultra-Gauge. Trailer hitch. Softopper. Replaced sun visors with slide out style. Toyota bed extender. Had Firestone Destinations and now Michelin LTX AT2 in stock size. More mods to come; Fog lights, locking storage in bed, intermittent wipers. Now looking for Radio/HU upgrade. and maybe a lift way down the road.
Got mine yesterday. Hopefully this week I get time to set it up.

Got mine Saturday as well. Plugged it in and off I go! Already setup my main screen, just 4 metrics to look at... MPH, RPM, Instant & Avg MPG. Not sure if I want to display anything else on that main screen. I plan on setting up at least one other page for service mileage etc. Very nice!!

Anyone know what's up with the fuel level sensor? Does it simply not exist? It seems the UG only knows fuel levels when I tell it... IE I tell it when I fill up. I get that I have to tell it how big my fuel tank is, but it doesn't "know" the fuel level from the ECM?

Other than that strange wrinkle, I'm definitely liking it. I found the 0.5sec refresh rate was good for me - .3 seemed too fast lol. I still need to calibrate it too, I'm sure the numbers are off because my tires are off. What I found odd was the UG was reading different MPH than the spedo - I would expect that after calibration.... Before calibration it should be dead on with the truck, no?

Well, I've only scratched the surface of it. Initial install was pretty simple - the only annoying part was the factory service test they make you run... Grab a laptop and hope your wifi will reach, as it makes it much easier if you have a computer with you when you first install it.

That was really the only "issue". I still have yet to calibrate it, so the device isn't perfectly accurate - but it is reporting numbers, and checking with my GPS my speedo isn't too far off. I need to do a formal calibration tho, they recommend a long straight road with mile markers... Perhaps I'll head out to I-76, not sure where else I could do it near Denver and not get run over...

I still have a lot of things to tinker with. I think I got the first page setup to my liking - I put MPH, RPM, Instant MPG and Avg MPG. I think on the next page I'll setup service mileages & temps.

All in all, great unit, very easy to plug in and go. Diving into it, the device is complex - but that just means you have a lot of options for customization! Me likey :D.

Yea im not sure how im going to calibrate mine either. The only place with mileage markers is the interstate and you cant just slowly come to a stop when your getting close to the next mile marker. (well without getting flipped off)

    Any suggestions?
