    You could just buy an oven that will fit in between the counter tops so you won't need to cut them.

    The big hassle is that standard oven sizes and cutout sizes "wander" over time.

    So you either need to order the exact size/form factor of an oven made 40 years ago (good luck!)

    Or modify the oven to fit the cutout (good luck!)

    Or modify the cutout to fit the oven (doable, but since none of us are cabinet makers, always ends up looking redneck.)

    Have fun. I'll keep an ear out for distant swearing, carried on the wind.

    After you are sure the power is shut off to it, the cook top should come apart somehow and the whole unit should slide right out, there should be slack in the wires and they should all be color coded
