just as the title says.. i have my wheels and rear lift ready to go. if i put the billies at top setting with oem springs, and put on 33s... will there be driveline vibes? for those of you that know.

just curious because if there will be, i'll just do 265/75/16s and leave the front where it is at.

thanks. I'm sure there is 10 damn threads asking the same shit, but sorry i'm tired and want to order tires tomorrow.

It's a crap shoot, but I'm going to guess you'll have the front differential bearing rumble. The driveshaft vibe is much easier to fix.

I do realize every truck will be different. Any thing other than the p.o.s. diff drop spacer to ensure no vibes?

IF you end up with the ~60 mph vibration, then you will need axle shims and/or a carrier bearing drop.

IF you end up with the ~35 mph rumble, then you need the ECGS needle bearing replacement bushing, NOT the diff drop kit.

Yea I won't put that diff drop on my truck.. Man I almost want to say f-it and just do the 32s and leave it... How do the king lift kits say no vibes? Like what do they do differently other then it being a coil over... Like how is the geometry different?

Maybe I'll just put 32s on it now... By the time they wear, I'll have saved for a mid travel kit and then do 33s

I think you're making a big deal over something that isn't that bad. Most vibes are easily fixed and the ride quality improvement over stock is great. But if you're planning on going mid-travel in the future, just save the money and put some 265/75/16's on it until then.

    I am on a 31 inch tire and I have vibes from my 1.6" lift (5100 at 0 with 1.6" toytec/eibach coils)

It is the crap needle bearing on the front driver shaft causing the problem.

If you have a 4wd truck place in 4wd, if the vibe is gone up front they it proves it to be the needle bearing. ECGS bushing is 60 bucks to fix the sloppy tolerances the toyota let be sold to the public.

I would lift it and do what you want so you are happy with the truck. It made mine look and ride better over stock. I will get to the bearing sooner or later.

Any lift (coil-over, springs, spacer) has the ability to make the vibe noticeable, when you change front shaft angle it causing the sloppy spec to show its face. Some stock height truck have the vibes, some people notice it some do not. Mine makes it feel like I am driving a mud tire at certain speeds and on decel sometimes. It is not that bad.

You would be better off with new springs (Eibach or OME) & Billies at 0 or .85 than cranking the Billies all the way up with OEM springs.

Thought that too. I'll just do 32s and do a mid travel in a few months with 33s.
