What does everyone have for a spare tire if you upgraded your size? Did you buy 5 new tires or did you buy 1 used one the same size and did not care about what kind of tread was on it?

left the stock one up under there, if you really need it one stock tire and 3 35's will get you down the road better than a flat lol

Bought a used 16 inch rim (stock was a 15???) and put one of the old tires on it.

I thought I read somewhere having one small tire and one larger tire on a 4x4 is not good for the gears.

A little of this and a little of that.
When I bought my 17" BBS wheels I purchased a steel 17" Toyota wheel from Ebay and bought another same size 17" tire. Running different size tires on the same axle isn't good for the gears.

If you have your locker on, that's true. If you have an open diff (or locker turned off) then it isn't any different than driving around a corner from the gears perspective.
