Oh check it out. The guy that sold me my truck called my cell phone on Mother's Day to wish me a happy one. Then he laughed and said to me: "You bought that truck a year ago today, I remember!"

That guy is a trip. :)

Who is running king's on their truck? What leaf pack do you have with it? I'm hearing mixed reports about what leaf pack will work with it without causing the shocks to extend too much and break.

Also if anyone is in to video games, I have 3x guest passes for Diablo III. I guess it lets you download the game online and test it out or something. PM me if you want one.

Is he? I remember seeing someone at mod day having those sexy blue canisters on their truck. The AP expos are exactly the leaf pack that everyone is talking about not working with the rear shocks unless you get them extended or something.

    Two words...limit straps.

If your shocks are even close to being the limiting factor on droop, you should install limit straps. Expecting otherwise is just asking for trouble.

I'm going to have to order my leaf pack and measure shit to see what's what. I have plenty of time, too :) King's GB is a 6+ week wait I believe.

Keep in mind that unless explicitly stated otherwise, limit straps stretch ~10%. Factor that into when you measure. An adjustable clevis mount is the best route to make fine tuned adjustments as they stretch.

Do you need limit straps for rock crawling and similar offroading? Or is it really needed for desert racing and whomping? I only see LT guys having them. Unless I'm just not really paying attention

you want to sell the ducati 999 and keep the 600RR:confused: Flip that flop around and get a dirt thumper and you'll be just as happy as i am.

900ss and yz450f, both are more fun than any truck/car i've had.

Although i'm considering trading the tacoma for a late 90's m3

Again, I would never let the shock be the limiting factor. Shocks are expensive, straps are cheap. But to answer your question, yes, rock crawler guys do it all the time.

i take my straps off on my SFA rig when i go to the rubicon so the axle can get twisty w/ articulation and put them on when i head out to the dez for the obvious reasons. If i tried crawling w/ a-arms i'd leave them on all the time.
