    filling in the gap between the high & low elevation of the dif in relation to the axle shafts housing & I've seen axles bend/split , I myself have completely snapped off the driverside knuckle/flange/spindle/36.5"x16/5" Grand prix..:eek::eek: on my old powerwagon landing hard from an unseen whoop at about 60mph probably due to not trussing. (ofcourse most the weight is in front)


    & needless to say I about shit my pants & thankful that a painfully ugly roll didn;t take place

    "BONKS GREG IN THE HEAD" No, if you were to watch and try to start it, do the pulleys move, round and round?

    A few things,

    Lower end of the engine let go ( bad news)
    Starter is bad and not engaging the flywheel/flexplate correctly
    Your starter gear is missing a tooth

    All things that would make loud metal to metal "irregular" sounds while starting
