Thinking about pursing a local Taco. 2009 TRD Sport, dbl cab, short bed, 4x4, w/ TRD super charger. Magnetic Grey. Truck appears to be clean and well taken care of, has had two owners.

It's a little high on the mileage, 73,000. Supercharger installed at 15k. Has extended 100,000 mile warranty. Guy is asking around 27k.

Would you guys go after it? Anything in particular to look out for on the SC? I really wanted an off-road in white but I like super chargers and the grey is probably my second favorite color.

    Decisions, decisions.

I wouldn't personally. You have to run higher octane gas, and probably has more wear on the drivetrain than a stock truck with the same miles...

27K??? For another grand or two you could have a 2012 taco with zero miles, a supercharger isnt worth it for that IMHO

High mileage for a 2009..with a supercharger. still only worth at most $20,000.

LOL. FYI, I live in the Bay Area, 09 Taco's w/ 30-40k miles are listed at 29k at the dealerships...

Okay, maybe better to stick to my quest for a white trd off-road.

I payed 26K for mine..a 2010 SWB TRD Sport DCSB 4x4 and it had just under 24k miles on it..I'd say not even interested for that price. Is there anything special other than the S/C ? Lifted ? Wheels and tires anything good ?

Dont do it.. Take it from someone with a supercharger, who ever had it before you raped the engine. No one gets a supercharger and is easy on it, you get it to go bat shit crazy, do stupid stuff, and hear the supercharger whine. That means frequent trips to the rev limiter. Thats crazy high milage for a truck of that year and guarantee that engine has been used hard.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
I bought mine used with the SC on it, but made contact with the previous owner (who just so happens is a TW member) before I did it. I spoke with him and others familiar with his build to verify that he took really good care of the truck.

For me it worked, but if I didn't know the previous owner, I probably wouldn't have bought it.

Get it if you really want it. I wanted to check that same truck out before I picked up my '06 DCLB a few weeks ago.

FWIW, used Tacomas here in CA prices are high in general.
