How do yall get oil into the transmission?

^ what that says. I dont see how you are supposed to be able to fill it. There is no way to get a bottle in there. Any ideas?

And while we are on the subject, why do they think the front dif needs to be removed with allen wrenches? Why couldnt they use the same plugs as on the rest of the truck?

Those pumps like the first link take forever. Might have to take a look at the gun next time I change all my fluids.

 

I use the giant syringe now. You have to crawl out from under the truck and back a few times to reload it, but that is much easier than laying under there squeezing the pump for an hour. If you're going to use the syringe type, don't suction the new fluid into it, just unscrew the top and fill it up.

 

I ran a hose from the input up through the engine bay, attached it to a funnel and hung the funnel from the hood latch (hood open obviously). Then just pour away. Worked pretty good

 

Pugga, that's a pretty good idea there. I like that better than the syringe or a pump. Now I just have to find some hose.

Just make sure you spray those bolts up pretty good and make sure the torx wrench is right size. You dont want to strip those out. My front diff at 40k looked new, my back was black as hell. I would change though.

 

My rear and trnasfer case looked pretty good for 90k. Rear diff might have looked a little worse for wear, but not like I was expecting.
