Would it be bad if....

I put one of them fogger bug killers in my topper and let if off? i bought a used topper and it was laying on the ground for some time and now i have spiders and ants, rollie polies and slugs. so i was going to eliminate all the problems then vaccum it all up. Becauce i plan on camping out of the back and plus i dont think the old lady would like all the guests ha

 

You may want to read the instructions and warnings---you do not want it to discolor or peel the finish--I would be careful--kills bugs and eats paint?????

well i think that paint will be okay i let one off in my garge next to my camaro and 57 chevy and they were fine and it didnt say not to do it ha. i set it off so i guess we'll see here in a little minuet

The inside of the toppers carpet. And it went pretty well IMO I open the topper and tail gate and there were dead bugs ever where ha. So I drove around with the topper and tailgate open to air out then to the car wash to vaccum and sprayed my truck off so over all it did the job

 

My shell has carpet too.

1) I took it off and laid it on the grass, upside down.
2) I pressure washed it.
3) I flipped it over (normal orientation) and used a 2x4 to prop it up a couple of feet so I could get under it to finish pressure washing it.

I let it set that way for about a day and then flipped it back over and let the sun dry the carpet for a couple of days.

 

Well it appears that new bugs like ant larvas(speeling) has come out of no where so I'm going to take it off and tear all the carpet out and clean it good then put fresh carpet in

 

Not trying to thwart your plans, but I'd say that carpet is stuck like shit in a wool blanket. That may be a real pain in the ass.

Bug-bomb, vacuum, bug bomb, vacuum.

4 or 5 treatments should do the trick.

 

Never really looked at it from that prespective. I parked my truck on a hill at my house and just spray it all down with a water hose for about 15 minuets to get all the ant that I could see. That's all that's really left

 

The bombs did work on the spiders and rollie polies but not the ants I opened up the side windows and the back and my tailgate and drove around for a hour or so and the smell of the bomb went away

 

OTOH... you should not have killed the spiders.

Wouldn't that be a bit strange having a cat in my bed all the time I opted for raid and fogger bombs and a water hose
