    So far...

It has been great. One tank of gas gone - almost 400 miles (picked it up with 88 on it).

It's already dirty enough for a wash (I bought a whole truck load of washing supplies).

Turning radius is a little wider than I am used to - my Tahoe does my back driveway in a smooth 3-pointer. This one takes a couple extra points to swing around. Its a tough narrow driveway crammed in the back of my house, but it's worth having a 2-car garage in the city.

It makes a little squeak when I press the brake peddle. I noticed this on the loaner they let me take home for a test drive, too. It's not something I can't live with, but it sounds a little odd. Anyone else notice this?

Sound system is a little thin - but it is good enough for now.

iPhone hooked right up and works great. I can't seem to find a place for my phone holder.

I look forward to this weekend - going to order some stuff (maybe a bed mat and tool box) and wash both of my trucks.

As I drive it - I wonder why I didn't just buy one of these 20 years ago. I have always loved them and this one has been a long time coming.

Not sure why, and it doesn't make sense, but I can spin my Tahoe around much easier. I may be being a little more cautious with the new black paint, but it looks like I am using as much room as I can.

    Practice will tell.

I remembered my turning radius on my tahoe being good as well. Looked them up since they were bugging me.

Tahoe is 39 feet circle, tacoma is 40.7 so that is a draw.

    Hope it meets your needs.

Keep up getting the TSB performed if you notice the problems or else once you are out of warranty they will not approve them.

Never would have thought 1.7 feet would make that much difference, but it does in my narrow back yard.

    What is TSB?

TSB = technical service bulliten. There's a few for the tacos & a sticky on top, the 2 main ones are the rear leaf pack and squeaky blower motor..

I'm about 10 days in, I'm fine with it so far. Had a '98 Taco Reg Cab, 4WD, 2.7l 5-spd since it had 4 miles on it, and a '91 2WD base concurrently, and a Camry wagon, and a Lexus GS300 concurrently also. So I'm used to the Toyota Experience.

My nitpicks are the march of progress has added a lot of standard equipment upgrades from Gen I, except for rear disc brakes. 18 years since the Gen I Tacoma, and still no rear discs?

There should be enough of them around here to get something together!

I would prefer in the summer, dont want to try and look at other tocoma's

    in the cold ;)
