I have the wiring designed so my LEDs will come one when:
    a) I hit the high beams
    b) I hit a dedicated switch

When the LEDs are on, they either steady burn or strobe depending on whether my strobe switch is on or off. This is done with a single pole double throw relay.

Objective is I can turn the LEDs on whenever, and if someone in front of me doesnt move, i can flip on the strobe switch to flash them.

They are permanent after 15 minutes or so. Nice thing about the protection is they are rated to 180mph for impact, 3M developed this for airplanes.

You can purchase replacement lens if you can't get the protection off or don't like the color.

im mounting 4 directly to the roof. Drill and tap the sheet metal  no seriously, I think these are light enough, and I dont want the extra bulk and drag of a bar or rack.

Hm this I'd like to see....I've been debating trying to make a low profile roof rack which would have these in front since they are small too. But still think it'd look bulky...I mean even the stock rack looks a bit thick haha.

But looking at my truck a bit ago, I was thinking two on the outsides of the bottom thin grille, next to the stock fogs (would need to trim the plastic and again hoping it'd fit) and the other two behind the grill, but don't know if the honeycomb grill would block much light or not.

If that works it's be stealthy tho :spy: I'm also getting an amber pod for rear and two 6" LED bars from blitzpro that I want to try and fit into my hood scoop :D

    Sounds like a good idea

Funny I ran into this article of a Supercross rider who got arrested for "impersonating a cop" with his truck lights....lol

that big hole is NOT the mounting hole haha, your unscrew your light and the big hole goes into the light. Then you screw the light back together. It replaced the one already on your light.
