So I have had my tacoma for over a year now and I have been more then happy with it. I had a guy at work ask me about it when I first got it and I went through the whole thing showing him all I could about it (basically being a sales guy) Then 2 weeks later he bought a 2009 ext cab trd same color..... cool :D

So now another guy at work is asking me about my truck because he is changing jobs and needs a truck... He likes my truck alot and I told him as much as I could.

I guess my question is what do you tell people about the tacoma and how good it is? I ended up telling him its just a solid truck over all......

Pat them on the back and congratulate them for not wanting a Chevy, Ford, or Dodge!

    LOL!

I tell people that I love my truck, what type of gas mileage I get, comfort etc. For me the seat sits in a little far as that I am skinny and have no ass. Bought a little back rest thing and it fixed that problem fast.

I also point out that it barley decreases in value over the years vs. every other truck on the market.

I love my truck, but they do have a lot of dumb problems with them that shouldn't happen. Ultimately, I still think it's the best truck on the market for my needs/size/ect.

Main selling point for me- 2004 silverado 4.3 that got 10 mpg, 2010 tacoma 2.7 that gets 22mpg. And to add to this my chevy had everything that could possibly go wrong, go wrong. Besides 90,000+ miles and only replacing brake pads(no rotors) and not replacing the clutch with 130,000+ but i believe this is due to my driving habits. That being said I absolutely love my taco and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Longevity of the brand/model,resale value, appearance and overall look and feel of the materials used is what sold me on it. It hasn't gotten the accolades from the press out of luck. I will say that if it had a bit more competition that they'd have made a few more interior improvements by now. Other than that, not one bad thing to say so far about the truck overall. My little preferences and quirks about what I like will never be totally subdued by any maker...they build 'em for mass market. Hell, if it came perfect I wouldn't have any fun modding !
