I just bought some 20" for my truck but I just read over on Toyota Nation that most of them don't like them. My truck is a PreRunner and I don't take it off road at all. I was just wondering what the general concensus is over here, Yay, or Ney! This is a pic of the rims I just bought.

I;ve never been a fan of large fancy wheels on a truck, even if it's never off the road.

I'm just a practical and utilitarian person who values inherent simplicity and shys away from all things flashy.

Therefore I see wheels like this contra to the nature of a truck. Never understood lowering a truck either.

To me, and you asked for an opinion, these belong on a show sedan.

Yup, I do think they are fugly, but that is my opinion, and everyone is entitled to there own view. So just do as you wish, but use quality components that fit as they should and are safe as far as proper fit goes and you will be OK.

IMO, I think it looks like @$$, but it's your truck and you should be able to personalize it the way you want to... don't let others sway you into thinking otherwise. If it "floats your boat" or "turns your gears" the right way then the more power to ya, go for it!!!!

Wait a minute, if you're suggesting proper fit, but these wheels are involved, shouldn't you say proppa fit, yo?

Personally I prefer the brushed aluminum the tacoma has had the last few models, the 95-08. On my '05 I have some '04 Alums I bought for $75 from someone on Craigslist to replace the fugly steel crap Toyota put on to remind everyone that even though I bought an SR5 loaded 4x4, since I have the 2.7L I have to have steel crap wheels with stealable caps.

I prefer black steel & alum or brushed alum, NOT bling. Personally I think bling belongs on your wife's finger & '64 Impalas.

i think 20's look good on the taco's when done the right way, meaning a black or charcoal gray simple 5-6 spoke design with nitto terra graplers on them...low profile mud tires on black 20's would look good to me, that was what i was gunna do on my taco before i turned my attention towards the trophy truck thing

I have to agree with erdept, I couldn't see it on my rig, but this is yours. Also they're a lot of money.

I think those wheels look great. I have 20s on my truck but like everyone else has said, it's your truck. Have fun with it!

I think they would look awesome on your truck. The more chrome the better.

I agree. Go for it. I have 20's on mine, and have seen them on a bunch of Taco's in this area. I think they would look great. But like so many have mentioned, it's just an opinion, ask 10 people, get 10 different points of view.

thanks for honest opinions guys! I live on Oahu (Hawaii) and there aren't a whole lot of lifted trucks here at all. With that being said, I also prefer to have a small lift on my truck with maybe some 31's or 33's, but I'd feel like a poser then. I don't see the reasoning for lifting a 2 wheel drive truck.

I was originalt going to buy some used 20's with tires, but they ended up being pitted. I found these rims that I just bought for $400 on craigslist, brand new still in the box so I fiugured what the hell.

Ah well, I'll put them on later when I get some tires and post some pics. Worst case senario, I'm sure that I can dump them and make some money!!!!

I think the rims will look nice but I guess I'll have to waite untill I see them on for the final verdict!!!!

I wouldn't put them on my truck, but you didn't ask me about my truck. You asked me about yours. Do what makes YOU happy, not what pleases everyone else.
