3 different lifts in mind, opinions on choosing...

I....have a dream....that one day I will have....my lift....


anywho. Alright trying to save money right now but I also really want to blow it on a lift. So with that in mind here are my three options....

A) Buy Users current lift since he's selling truck, which includes:
ICON 2.5 ET C/O's, DSM UCA's, AP Leaf Pack, AP U-bolt flip, walker evans rears and diff spacers.
$1500 Shipped.

B) Billy 5100's adjustable lift by toytec, which includes (need i say):
4 Height adjustable Bilstein front 5100 shocks, spacer for correction of drivers side lean, Eibach/Toytec front coil springs 620lb spring rate, Diff Drops, & AAL.
$700, not incl shipping

or...

C) Buy a used set of ICON 2.5 ET C/O's with (cam, ic, tc, dsm) UCA's and put a block or aal in the back until I get more money to buy rears with an AP, or Dakar leaf pack.
Aprox 900.


My dilemma: Im leaving the army in 2 weeks, coming home and starting school. I have 800 in the bank right now and will get my last 1600 on the 1st.
As i write this I think I know I should just wait and save my money but fuck it, I already wrote all this so lemme get some opinions here. There's always new stuff to lear like how option C is probably not a good idea. I can hear it now...

 

I would do what you want done the first time. With that said, I would consider building up your leaf pack with some American steel leaf's (like Old Man Doug is doing) for cheap.

But school is $$$ so I might consider waiting.

It depends if he's using the stock coils , or has the one with the lean spacer on the wrong side

sorry didn't mean to thread jack....just voted with what I had and mentioned my issues to help you decide......also deleted my post just a little too late.
so my mechanic wasn't aware the ULK Co's were side specific either...guess I'll be calling him and toytec tomorrow to solve this bs!

 

No worries man, I hope you get that worked out! Seems like a great lift and hell i didn't even know you could do that.

 

Save your money to buy a nice house.

Since that will likely not happen, go with A. Never half ass a vehicle project if you can avoid it.

 

ULK c/o are not side specific unless they installed a top plate lean spacer in one of them

 

Yeah I have to agree, A is a nice setup.

OP I didn't read the options very thoroughly, sorry, but I will say don't "settle" and lift twice. Wait till you have enough for what ya want. Having something in mind you're saving for saves me more money anyways because I spend less on other junk. GL

Well unfortunately you don't get your education benefits with a General under honorable conditions discharge so I might have to be paying for those $$$ anyways. Thanks for the advice though and your right about that, I do save more money when I have something in mind. Hmmm...
