Relentless Armored! Too many others to list.
Correct, they're a tad lower than some others out there to clear 1" diff drops on lifted rigs.
They could sit a tad higher, but most people buying the skids will be 3" lifted and have a diff drop, so I designed for that.
Also, the 1/4" (alum or steel) will hang a tad lower as well due to thicker plate and the cut washers for mounting on those spacers being the same material as well.

Diff drops... pffft. Kinda wish I had known that, I would never put that on my truck. Would've liked to have it suck higher myself, but oh well. C'est la vie I guess...

I can post the pictures this weekend. It really wasn't so bad. Just mocked up the mid skid marked where I had to drill out the all pro IFS. They didn't line up perfectly so I had to get some longer bolts and just tightened those suckers down and made them line up. When I get pictures I could get the size of the bolts I used too. Really it wasn't that much more work if you got a good drill and bits to use to step up through the the sizes

I would really appreciate this as I will be matching these skids to my all pro IFS skid too.

Alright, got some picture to post so you guys can kind of see what I was talking about.

This first picture here shows the gap betweem the AllPro IFS and the Mid
    [IMG]

Once you drill the the holes out on the IFS and get a bolt long enough to reach between the gap it wasn't to hard to tighten them down. The bolt I used was a little long, barely enough room in there between the bolt and that cross memember, I used 3in bolt I think, I wanted to make sure it was long enough but I think you could easily get away with a 2in on in there, I might go back and swap them out later with a shorter one.

After that is all done and said though they end up going on pretty tight and snug, doesn't move one bit.

The mid skid is a little wider then the All Pro IFS, when you are marking the holes to drill out make sure you have the mid skid line up the best you can. I noticed the first time looking to mark the holes that if you done do it right the holes will be right on the edge of the IFS and you wont be able to drill them out, but if done right I think youll end up with about 1/4-1/2 from the hole and the edge of the skid.

Hey all, bare steel prep n00b here.

So I get I need to rough it up and make a surface for the pain to adhere to. I bought some of this:

So this junk I spray on, let it sit for ~30mins then wash it off. Do I rough it up with sandpaper after spraying this on, or do I rough it up before? Or does this circumvent the need for sandpaper at all...? Thanks guys!!

Edit - lol... I also prepped one skid and forgot to wash the junk off. I washed it off this morning, but it sat for quite a bit longer than the recommended 15-30 mins... Maybe I'll just re-do the process again tonight and wash it off at the proper time, hopefully that'll get it off... I now have this phosphoric film on one side of the skid :anonymous:

with bare steel you don't need to rough it up. just clean, primer, paint

Oh, I thought it was good to rough it up so the paint had a better surface to adhere to...

So what should I do with the one skid that's partially prepped like this? Will it be OK to just paint, or should I spray it down again and wash it all off?

you have to clean that off. either reapply and wash it off, or if that doesn't work then sand it off.

Cool. I might need a power sander or something, doing this by hand isn't getting it off...

I'll also try respraying it. Thanks!

I just wipe shit down with lacquer thinner or acetone then spray right on it. Paint sticks pretty well to steel as mentioned.
