im lost... is this a lucerne loop or a barstow to lucerne run?

 

it's a Lucerne loop and possibly having lunch at Slash X. After Slash X we'll head back to Lucerne. not sure how far out of the way Slash X from the main loop. I just wanna make it worthwhile for the SD crew.

 

Lucerne was all kinds of sketch this past weekend... really dry, so a bunch of soft spots to get stuck in...

should be a fun run...

Thanks, Johnnie. This is what I like most about your runs- there's always more to them than just offroading; Martha and I love sight seeing and mines are always the best. We'll follow you to hell and back- just point us in the direction.

 

you're funny Greg. just trying to make it worth your drive. if we're going to spend money on gas we gotta make it worth the trek.

 

Yeah the side trips are great. Im bummed I can't make it.

 

what time is this run gonna happen at?

 

I found two mines at the beginning of our run. Silver Reef Mine and Lester Dale Gold Mine which are right next to each other. We'll be going to those at the beginning and then making a quick u-turn and head out to our run. I'm going to try and figure out the coordinates to get us to Slash X. In the coordinates Aaron provided, there is a route to get us to Slash X but I need to incorporate that with the current route I have.

 

2 meeting points. Sierra Blvd in Fontana at the Arco gas station at 8am. We'll all meet in Victorville off Bear Valley Rd. at 9am. We should be on the trail by 10am after airing up.

The SD crew has a two hour drive just to get to Fontana so I don't want to plan this too early.

If anyone thinks this is too late, please let me know.

 

sounds good... it's not too late... gives us plenty of time to spend more time sightseeing without running out of daylight...
