The OME 881 front seems to be second only to the 882. I have looked all over and seen several pictures of vehicles with the 881 and different shocks and rear setups. I think it would be helpful for many if there was a thread for the first gen's with the 881 setup only. Any one intrested please post a picture of your 881 setup and the details of your lift and tire size. Also any likes or dislikes.

Regular old 881s. And OME leaf pack. OME shocks. Think theres 1" to a 1.5" of lift after treating it harshly for a couple years.

881's with a 10mm top plate spacer. All pro 3" standard leafs out back. 285/70/17's (33x11.5). Have nothing bad to say about them, but will switch to 882's when I get a bumper and some real skids.

Plenty of pics in my build.

What you mean? I don't rub if thats what you mean, but I wouldn't rub without a lift either thanks to a hammer and some cutting. A lift doesn't change the travel, it cycles the same as stock.

No disrespect intended, but I would like to keep this to 881 setup's only. If you start one for 882's you'll will likely get a lot of replies. There is also a post titled OLD MAN EMU setups on first gen's that has several pictures mostly of 882 setups.

I got OME 881's with 1" top plate spacer(used to utilize full stroke of front shock) on stock billies. In the back toytec aal and billy 7100s, 10" stroke. Love them.

Like the thread some great pics so far. Lets see some single cab 4cyl pics! I'm considering going with 881's and Dakar leafs. Not sure if I should get the top plate spacer or not. Do NOT want bro-lean, or a massive rake either.

I second the great pic's. There is a bunch of people running 881's hopefully many will add to the collection. I will have my 881's tomorrow, then it's just a wait for DSM to get in some Bilsteins. Finally getting back to a 4x4 after years without one.
Nice goomba, I had to look at a map to see where you were located, never heard of it. But your about an hour south of me (Lake County).

At first your truck will be a tad high up front, but the 881's settle a little(wear in kind of like sag), mine did, about an inch.

When i ran 881s on my 4cyl single cab the it was pretty level. I definatly wouldnt add a spacer up front.

Thanks Goomba and Capetaco. I'm going with the OME kit from Toytec. They have the top plate spacer recommended with 881's for full 3" lift so wasn't sure if I would want that or not. I'm leaning with no spacer since I only have a lighter single cab with the 2.7, and I won't be ordering any UCA's. I sent them an email about it to see what they have to say.

I decided to just go with the 2" AAL in the kit and not the Dakars. My frame is being replaced and they are giving me new stock leafs anyways. Maybe I will get the Dakars down the road.

I will add my 881 pics to the thread when the frame and lift are done in a few weeks.
