    in my opinion i would rather weld sliders on so they are stout as possible... the sleeves are strong but i have doubts due to bolts being able to loosen after some abuse... i wouldnt like having to check my slider bolts before each trip...:rolleyes:

    Thanks, I was thinking the same thing. I have easy access to a welder and can complete the job, but honestly preferr slidders that would be closer to my cab. However I have a daughter, GF, and mother that would like a step into my truck and your sliders look perfect for that so I was thinking I would try them bolted and if I liked them I could weld. If the bolts are the weak point in your opinon then I am game.

    when i install my sliders i weld them so the legs are only a 1/2" from the pinch weld to keep them tight...

    my regular sliders are wide enough to where they protect the whole side really good... the kick outs can be used as a pivot point on rocks to move your tail end away from rocks...
