The only brand of aftermarket UCA that uses a normal BJ is the light racing units, and they have to be purchased from light racing.

And whether its a uniball or conventional ball joint, its still a ball joint.

True, but uniball is a lil easy to change, no pills fork needed...also he said balljoint so kinda assumed light racing....just saying :)

I'm not disagreeing with you at all. But you initially recommended a Moog replacement that wouldn't work with any aftermarket UCA. Thats what my post was in reference to. :)

Roger that ;) they would work with the light racing right....didn't Fabtech make. Bj uca too...I thought be were both made to run stock Tacoma bjs :notsure:

04tacomaSR5 I think we need pic of said ucas stat please.

Light racing UCA's relocate the BJ to the UCA (instead of the spindle, like stock) so an OEM style BJ wouldn't even be close to working.

Yeah don't worry changing your uppers is real straightforward, and they are cheap too, autozone has them for 12 bucks each lifetime warranty, and you will need the tool to pop the out, looks like a c with a threaded rod. they will not come out without the tool.

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Finished sound deadening the truck and switched out the rear JL Audio XR components and added the JL Audio ZR components instead...also relocated the crossovers:

I have done all the hi-pro mods for a life time, since I got this truck at a great price, I will be happy with showroom new.

installed new oxygen sensors yesterday, ( hope the photo's show this)
the primary sensor (first one) was about the worst I have ever seen on a car.
surprised it had not thrown a code. THIS IS THE RESULT OF RUNNING A POORLY TUNED ENGINE. when i pulled it out carbon came off in my hands and face.
and yes, with all the other work I have done, now with a new TPS and this, she cranks right up, and idles smooth at 800.
next month, I think I am going back in and replace the 3 coils for peace of mind, body and soul.

3" lift Up front(Donahoe Racing ext. travel coil overs, Camburg UCA's), 1.5-2" lift in the back(aal and some billy 10" stroke short bodies), Bushwhacker Cut-Out fender flairs, 16"x10" Procomp Street locks, and 305/70 Procomp X-Terrains.
They are uni-ball, look like Bilt-Right uca's or Total chaos. You can find the some uniball and bushing replacements here: I think these are only for total chaos and camburg, but i hope someone else will help
