I guess if garage door is removed, and wall is put up its a room. I'm sure someone else knows more than me on exact code. But that's what I would do, just make it reversable.It's not like building inspectors come into random houses. Just might get shit when you go to sell from a possible buyer.

Well, ya I didn't think about that part. That would be something to think about too. I guess the best thing to do is call local code enforcement. Or even your insurance co. To see what's what. I'm sure as hell no expert.
