Well I am sitting here, bored out of my skull (retirement sucks sometimes) and this idea creeps into my head.
What new color or colors would you like to see Toyota come out with on Future Tacoma's? I just bought a 08 FJ Cruiser in Sandcastle, a new color, and it reminded me of a similar color Toyota had available back in the early '70s on their trucks. I am not getting rid of my 07 Tacoma 4x4 ever!. I just happen to see this FJ in that color that I loved and bought it.

So, what color would you love to see on the Tacoma?

I like that gray/silver that they have the new tundras in. Its always hard though , because sometimes some models look good in a certain color when other models do not. I think toyota nailed it with the colors they already offer for the tacomas.

A smoke color. Previous car was an '05 Altima 3.5SE in smoke and I would've bought the Tacoma in the same color had they offered it.

That silver color on the Tundra is really nice. My buddy has one.

Thats because they are a class act all the way. Leave the teeny bopper metallic burnt orange and fluorescent puke green colors for those other less sophisticated companies...<cough><cough> Nissan <cough><cough>

The burnt orange looks great on the Z, though. I considered one prior to the Altima, actually.

If they had the grey I might have been "influenced" to get that to match the wife's camry. Black is great but a biotch to keep clean. (damn road salt!!)

How about someone who is very good at using photoshop do a rendering of what these colors would look like on the Tacoma. Obviously, some colors that look good on other trucks would not on a Tacoma.

I would go with the orange if it was the darker more metallic, kind of like Ford has on one of their new SUV's.

My first vehicle ordered new was black, since then all have been white, and will continue to be so, but I can not see why Toyota does not offer a shade of green, it looks good to most people, and it goes with either the tan or grey interiors so it is not limited to one interior color. I bet it will be rotated back into the mix at some point.

I think GM and Ford ruined me on green during the late 60's/early 70's when they painted almost everything green which was ok, but most all of them had a green or gold interior that was ugly. The few with black interiors looked good The first series Tundra's look good in green, but I think only came in a tan interior, which goes together well, but I don't like tan interiors. I guess they used tan since the first series Tacoma's and Tundra's grey interior looked so blueish instead of a nice grey. So I hope green comes back, and I will recommend it to all, unless they want white:D
