New Guy Lift & Tire Questions

Guys,

First official post here. I have a 2011 DC/LB that I just bought a Zone Offroad 2.5" front spacer and 2" block rear lift for. Now before I catch hell for buying a spacer lift, I do not do any serious offroading. Just driving down dirt roads and across fields while hunting. I baby the hell out of it honestly.

I want to run KMC XD Addict wheels in 17x9" but I am having a hard time deciding what backspace/offest and tire size to run.

I wanted to run 265/70/17 but did not know if this would be too small of a tire for the 2.5" of lift. I thought about 285's but really do not want to destroy gas mileage either.

When I check out KMC's website the only option I have for offset are -12 and +18. I was going to go with the -12 but was not sure what backspacing this would be.

I have seen all the diagrams and done a bunch of research, but am still a bit confused.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

And to answer your question, A -12 offset would be close to A 4.50 back spacing I think it's A 4.53 back spacing. A 0 off set will be A 4.50 back spacing which is what most people run with 285s.

Hope this helps. 2011 DC/SB. 2.5" Zone front spacer and 1.5" Toytec AAL in the rear. 265/70/17 General Grabber AT2. 17X9 -12 offset KMC XD Addicts. You will have to do some trimming though.

 

Like everything but the Bull Bar. That thing on the front will cause more damage to the front of the vehicle than without it. I hit a Rav 4 at like 7 MPH, and completely needed a new front end. Grill, hood, L and R front quarters, hood, and some stuff behind as well. Just looking out for that beautiful truck

That is exactly what I am after. How much trimming did you have to do and what did you have to trim? It looks great.

It's pretty minor trimming. Some of the plastic wheel well liner up front. You can keep the mud flap just need to trim back one spot that rubs. The only rubbing I still have is bottom front of fender flare. The rubbing is minor. I haven't trimmed mine yet.

Will the 2" rear block lift sit rear end high with the front lifted 2.5"? do I need to go with a 1.5" rear lift instead?

I just ordered the LR UCA's off the Metal Tech 4x4 site through the group buy and am thinking about biting the bullet and going with 5100 Bilsteins on all four corners

Just need to figure out how high I need to go in the rear. Thanks for all the help.
