 I'm going to get either a window unit or one of those portable ones for my bedroom. No need to cool the whole house at night... I don't sleep well when it's warm, but during the day when I'm up, the temp is fine.

doesn't work.... I've put a hose down one of the holes for half an hour and the turds are still there.... I'm hoping the spray I used yesterday will work.

My girls love being in the back yard, but I"ll put up a temp fence to keep them off the seed. Or just keep them in the "pen" (it's ~ 60' x 20') - had to put that up when I first moved in... Ollie would go to the far corner of the yard when it was time for bed and play for 10 minutes :(

Me too, I like it cold when I sleep. The 5000 BTU one worked fine when I just had it in my bedroom, but then the apartment rental company put out a notice saying no one was allowed to have A/C units cause some ass hat drilled his into his window frame.. a case of 1 guy ruining it for everyone else.

So I showed my landlord my set up that caused no damage and she said I could keep it then 3 weeks later asked me to take it down cause people were bitching the whole, "well why can he have one and we can't". Oh i donno, maybe cause they were destroying frames

So I now I have it sitting in the patio door, built a frame to cover rest of door, and covered it with a curtain so no one can see :D. She knows its there but doesn't care cause I'm one of the few non crack heads living here :D

At least there they go LOOK at places before increasing taxes. Here they just raise them every 5 years... I just got a notice in the mail a week or so ago, saying my house was now appraised at $xxx, xxx. I'm going to complain... since I'm not selling and I might not get what they appraised it at, so why should I pay taxes on what they say it's worth.

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
As much as I love owning my house part of me wants to go back to renting. At least there I didn't have to pay for all the little crap that comes up. I would look into all the pro's and cons of home buying before you actually do it. And make sure you get a GOOD inspector. Turns out mine just got sued by 6 people.

Not too worried on the inspector for front, I have lots of friends already owning so they can recommend some. Plus I myself am very handy so I'll be combing over any place I want to buy.

And since I'll never be home anyways, I plan to get a few renters, even though I could afford a house I'd rather the extra coin.

Mine does, thank goodness. The other houses like mine in the neighborhood don't have the window. It's on the opposite side from my bedroom window, so if there's a breeze, there's a place for it to go.
