how many coats did you put on it, prep,etc.? Dip and water don't mix at all

 

im wanting my windows in my camper shell blacked out so you cant see them but tint can be pricy..so if i went with plasti dip, something that i could peel off would the heat from the inside do something to it?

 

I doubt it. The dip on the outside of my truck (emblems, rims, gas tank lid, etc.) have been pounded bad by the sun and still hold up fine. Water tends to ruin dip more than the sun ever would. As for putting it on your window, it will go on like it would normally (if you were to do your emblems and such, just MAKE SURE you follow the prepping and applying tutorials/instructions).

And here is why u am doing my wheels......I ran over a shredded semi tire at night in the interstate, now I have to cover the scratches and get a new center cap

 

damn never expected a tire can do that but then again it was a semi tire.

 

It was the normal shredded tire where it is just a band of rubber (and steel). I'd say it was about 4 or 5 ft long.....I think it also knocked an airbag sensor loose, the airbag light turned on the next day....I now have to go get that checked out this week

 

WTF? damn your lifted and I'm lowered ... kind of making me feel worried about the next time I see ANY debris on the fwy now. I think I got a recall letter about that too (said that Toyota was working on a solution for it and will send another letter out to me when they have a remedy for it).

 

I think Plastidip just came out with Invisidip. That is what you're gonna need to make your windows, "so you can't see them"

 

believe it or not plasti dip has had a clear coat out for some time now.

But ya, move out of the way quickly if you see them. I was about 10-20 yards away doing 70 before I realized what it was.....it was night and it looked like a pot hole fix

Anyways, we dipped mg friends plastic accent bars on his jeep today. They were very light gray from sun exposure. Sorry, forgot before picks

 

I'm seriously debating on buying the pro car kit for truck/suv and doing my truck in red.

 

also contemplating on dipping my entire truck but in that orange ... just need to know how the orange comes out though.

 

LMFAO !!! I just showed my wife the video of the GTI being sprayed on the Dip My Car website and she asked if they have white. I say, "do you want your car white?" She says, "No, I want to spray our shower, and I'll never have to scrub it again. I'll just peel it off when it's dirty!".

anyone plasti dip there front fenders? just bought some fenders that stick out more but there black and my trucks white so im considering plasti dipping them

 

in all honesty, if people have been dipping their entire vehicle as well as rims, badges/emblems, interior, etc. You will be fine dipping your fenders. All you need to do is properly prep object(s) your dipping, and follow accordingly on how to apply dip.
