    I had this exact problem. It's the steering rack. It was caused by a bent rotor, making the wheel wobble at a high speed when hitting the brakes. That was causing a plunging affect in the rack seal causing it to leak fluid.

    I replaced the rotors, cleaned up the fluid and haven't had any problems since.


    I did price used racks, they were about $150 - $400. Prices may have changed.

    No idea if you have bent rotors, but this was my experience with it.

    I'd be more worried about the blinker fluid.
