You should measure the difference between your front and your rear wheel wells to get an idea of where you stand. Go from there, if your looking to level you might need 2.5" on the 5100's. Just depends. I only have a 1.5" AAL and I still don't sit level with my 5100's at 2.5". I must say though, having this setup now for a little while I wish I had UCA's. I can definitely feel the squirrely effects now without it and my camber is just wack. I'm starting to feel some vibrations too at certain points. More so when I go over the top of a hill and the truck raises.

For 2012 V6 4 doors, the TRD OR has the 3 leaf and the TRD Sport has the 4 pack leaf springs. Not sure about the SR5 or 4 cyl

My 2012 TRD OR sits perfectly level, with no rake front to rear. How much did the TSB 4 leafs lift your rear end?

I like this idea a lot. How is your alignment?

If your only going up 1.75 your alignment will still be perfect.

Moondeath, your truck looks great! I'm jealous. I have the same color, access cab and TRD truck as you but want to "beef" it up. I don't know anything about lifts and I don't want to screw up a perfectly good truck by adding a lift. I just want to raise it 1 or 2 inches and put bigger tires on to make it look beefer without making it look like Big Foot. I don't want it to ride differently than stock (unless I can make it better) and I don't want to mess up the speedometer, etc.
Can you educate me a little so I can make my truck look like yours? I assume AAL means add a leaf? Why did you go that route instead of a block in the rear? Do you mind telling me the exact parts and the price so I can check them out for my truck?
    Thanks

I would say a good 1.5 or more. It comes stock on every canadian tacoma in the first place, so i didnt have a chance to measure. But heres a before and after of the stock front/4th leaf and then the 1.75 front/4th leaf

More lift would be great but I keep telling myself I want to stop spending cash on it and keep what I have. So in the end I am SUPER pleased with what I got out of the simple 5100's mod. The ride is much smoother even with them set higher then the stock yellow/blue bilsteins. Im thinking about getting a small wheel spacer and then leaving it at that

The TSB 4 leaf pack settles to 3/4" - 1" over US stock height

Thats what Im debating right now. To go past my 1.75 (got a great alignment) just to go to 2.5 or 3 its just such a cash jump Im staying away after you factor in the new UCAs and possibly new front shocks

some people told me that, but it didnt make sense to me. My truck had a good rake before, then when i lifted the front 1.75 it evened it out perfectly. Might settle down over the years but not now

    Wha ?

If someone has a 3 leaf pack and gets the 4 leaf TSB pack , they will settle to 3/4" - 1" over the 3 leaf height

Nothing to do with the front or your original amount of rake

I don't know enough to come up with a reasonable budget yet. $1000 for tires +/- $200? I want tires that don't stick out the sides of the truck body but are larger than the stock BFG rugged trails and will fill the additional well space from the lift.

I don't need anything for intense off roading, just something that will hold up the few times I take it into the woods hunting. Most of the miles are paved. So maybe $500 for the lift. Sounds like the add a leaf is the way to go? I don't want to screw up my axle.

So if I only have 2 curved and 1 flat on my 2009, Toyota will add it free of charge?

If 500 is your budget then i would get some billy 5100's and either set them at 1.75 and get the tsb to be level. Or set them at 2.5 and a 2 inch AAL. Personally i would go the 1.75 with tsb and then get some hankook dynapro ATM's
