Nicest air box mod I've seen. Haven't done the deck plate because most of them look like crap and I wouldn't close mine up anyway.

Finally went and looked at my 03 intake. It would appear to me that the Airaid tube would be worthless on these because the section that the MAS is connected to is still in place and looks to be a choke point thats about 1/2" less in diameter between the air box and where the new tube would connect. The Airaid does look alot better though, not sure about $60-100 better.

Also look at ramairperformance.com, the "RAPS" intake is something Tundra owners have been doing for a while. If your never going through water this may be an option.

How is the Airraid tube worthless?

On my 2003 the MAS is attached to a plastic tube that fits between the airbox and the intake tube. It is smaller than the hole in the Airbox and the hole in the intake tube, creating a pinch point in the intake system. Therefore in my opinion the minimal increase in flow that I would recieve beyound the MAS would be so minimal that the price doesn't justify it to me. I think it would be more cosmetic, Others may disagree. On the OP's truck it doesn't look to be like mine. The MAS looks to be similar in diameter to the tube, which would allow more air through. Also on my 03 the washer fluid fill tube is infront of my airbox but doesn't look to be an issue.

Oh ok I see what your saying. However, I think the purpose of the Airraid tube it to elliminate the silencers on the stock tube. Not sure tho

    Yes, I sold my '13 Taco. :'(
This was honestly my ORIGINAL plan but none of my local audio places(5 in my little town) had one in stock. Consensus was they either build sealed boxes or tune ported boxes using pvc.

Is there a minimum you have to spend for shipped orders on that link? I think that was what was preventing me from ordering a box port lol.
