That area looks strangely familiar *cough* *boxrocket*, and I finally thought of who i was gonna use as an example, at least your truck didn't end up like BFA's first one!

It can happen easier that you think. Tho usually its a broken thumb.

When the tire hits the far wall in the crack, the steering wheel is WHIPPED around with a lot of force. Folks who hold the steering wheel with their thumbs hooked thru the wheel can get injured. Have seen this before.

I only said I would not be doing it and that I thought it would be foolish to try. And that was mostly directed at you because of your hand. :smack:

Yeah that crack definitely grabs the wheel if you're not ready for it, also a pretty tippy spot.

i might end up doing that cause a new bed is like 1000 bucks i guess. id still like a new strait cab tho..

would suck tho as i have the bed rack that would fit a stock bed and i have my Elite rear bumper coming that fits the stock bed that ran me like 900 bucks

so really..almost worth it just to get a new bed..

i wish i had just said fuck it and ran Kanes tho.

Hate to say it, but there's always the option of selling the bumper before you put it on so you won't be out any cash in that regard.

On the other hand, there's gotta be a bed around that costs less than that. Just keep an eye out.

ok, as long as our guides from this meet come along we will send you the pics! Its gonna be kick ass on round 2! Not saying we have to commit to it though, just want to get further and check em out

wish you could have. Probably a smart move not to though, as you would want a truck in 100% working order for that one. it was the craziest trail we did though thats for sure. ill run it again with you next year! I want oba and maybe some more armor by then too.

Yeah after looking at all the pictures from this past weekend, I almost hate to see the truck go another route than what you had planned. That bed rack just looks too damned good. Seriously.

On a side note, good thing you didn't have an RTT at the time!

On another side note, is there anything you'd do differently next time around when you build a new rack?

I thought cliffhanger looked way worse. I thought Kanes was a challenge but nothing scary, and a lot of fun. I would have shit bricks on cliffhanger.

yea i think im really just gonna stick to my orignal plan. I like were it was going. A very capable trail rig as well as an expo rig. Just what i wanted.

and yes thank god i didn't destroy a 1300 dollar tent! lol

as for the rack..no not really. I was very happy with it. At first i thought i wanted it like an inch or two lower for the main bed rack..but at the height it was at..i could still use the rear view mirror for the most part so that was nice..plus im tall and i don't think the COG was affected that much really..tho idk, maybe i wouldn't have rolled with it..who knows..

all in all. Ill add like a some CB stuff. reinforce the bed rails much better next time as well. i LOVED the roof rack look. Would be nice to figure out it if could be removable..knocked off 2 mpg empty with just the lights lol I was going to add more bolts to the bed with the tie down rails. As well as LED light bars on the center rails for downward firing and side firing as well as a new upper brake light, and rear lights.

So i think ill stick to the same basic design. I can salvage most of it actually..so it really wont change.

and again..the 900+ rear bumper is what is holding me back as well as the salvageable bed rack. So i think ill at least try and get a strait bed and run the bent up cab and fenders for a while if i have too.

Me too! was looking bad ass..

and i hope it will :D

repainting it back to the Cool Metallic Silver will be very pricey tho

ya..your on 35s tho :p so Kanes of course wasn't that bad. I was hoping to have LT front suspension and 35 for next year. THo after seeing yours and Silas's 35 break so much shit..its making me rethink 35s..
