Just Got My 5100's Need Advice

Ok I was gonna go with a spacer lift for my '10 TRD offroad and reading all the threads about loss of travel and broken struts got me going and I finally pulled the trigger on a set of 5100's (do it right the first time)
Anyway here's the lowdown: I had the TSB springs installed a few weeks ago and am very happy with the rear ride height. what setting should I use for the snapring? I want a nice level stace. Keep in mind the truck is a Double cab 4x4 with a 6spd.

 

I cant remember the settings anymore but 1.75 with a tsb will level you out.

 

Zero with Eibach coils will level you. I do believe 1.75 with stock is also correct. Use the search bar to confirm.

that's what the shop where I got them from said. He also has the TSB AAL's in stock just in case I wanna go all the way up.

The Eibach's with the 1/4" driver's side spacer at the 0 setting are about the same height and a very noticeable improvement over the 5100's set at 1.75" preload w/ factory springs (second highest setting).

The 5100's offer 4 settings using the factory coil springs:

0 - lowest setting = 0" lift
0.85" - 2nd from bottom = 0.85" lift
1.75" - 2nd from top = 1.75" lift
2.5" - highest preload setting = 2.5" lift

The 5100's offer 2 settings using the Eibach coil springs

0 - lowest setting + Eibach coil = 1.6" lift (DCSB - may be slightly more with AC or RC)
0.85" - 2nd from bottom preload position = 0.85" + 1.6" = 2.45" lift (DCSB)
1.75" - Not Recommended w/ Eibach coil
2.5" - No Recommended w/ Eibach coil

Use a tape measure... Measure between the center of the hub to the fender on the front and back and the difference would be the setting of the 5100's. Not difficult, takes about 30 seconds and will be more accurate than asking an internet forum what they think.

I set mine at 1.75 with the tsb and I'm pretty much dead on level. DC SB auto 2011

 

Thanks guys/gals.... I'm sorry I added another totally redundant 5100 thread to the pile.. I just really like scanning through post after post of other people's threads. I do search around alot and am not in anyway trying to get my post count up with the threads I post.
I really appreceate the input. this is the first Tacoma I get to really make right/mine so I wanna do it the best way!

 

Im getting ready to do the same thing. I have a Brute Force hybrid ordered and will be here in a couple months so I have a little time. Im thinking of going with the 5100 and Eibach's set at 0 and just rear TSB with 5100's. I have an AC. We will see...

 

Ok did the deed last night. Set the snapring to 2.25" and the truck still measures about 1/2" higher in the back on the drivers side and dead even on the passenger side. I'm gonna leave it there! Super happy with the look. had my alignment done this morning, had the camber set to 0' and the caster to spec for the lift height.

 

So set at 2.25 with the add a leaf, are you noticing a rougher ride? Especially hitting pot holes? Just curious my 5100s are on the way and I bought the 1.5 AAL.

 

Holy thread revival..... But since we are already here.. My 1500's are all the way and it's not terrible. Actually it sucks. They are stiff. Pot holes are rough.
