I looked at my hard top just to see if I could take it off and let you borrow it for your road trip. Unfortunatly there is too much custom weatherstripping and sealant between cab/cover and cover/bed.

Yup, its nice in the sun but at night you really have to be keeping track of whats around you. I would roll the windows down parking at night or in a dark neighborhood to make sure I didn't take someone out. Never did a night run in that truck so couldn't tell you about that.

 

Yeah I have to roll down my windows at night just to turn. Can't see headlights thru my driver door window lol

 

Really i'm tired of no tint onpassenger side, driver side is cheap tint, and purple. windshield is cracked so i'm filling a claim in morning, I just want something to break that glare too. My commute to work is into setting sun, the drive home is into rising sun lol

Yes if you first gen have not done the steering fix, do it now it will change your life.

and you don't have to go through all those steps to get your steering wheel off, just undo the screws holding the clamshell, the two bolts and springs attached to the steering wheel (those springs are a bitch) and then the one bolt down by the pedal in the clamp, don't worry about marking it it only goes back in one way, ten just pull straight out and the whole thing slides right out, tack it and put it back in. super easy and Ive been clunk free since 93'
