took my '12 to its 5k service and brought up issue to dealer. They took one of their 4x4 DCSB TRD OR truck they had in lot and duplicated the exact same problem on their 0 mile truck.
the guys were pretty blown away that this issue had not been mentioned by other costumers since it SO obvious when it does it. One guy even said "its bad enough that it will spill your fucking coffee man!"

they are sending their case and observations to some main service Toyota dude in KY. they measured the driveline/angles etc on both trucks.

he said the more cases they hear about the more Toyota is put in the position to fix it....so get loud.

Got mine in the mail a while ago all the way up here in Canada. Those east coast gear supply guys are great to deal with! Plus with my new 3" toytec lift there's no vibrations or anything. Truck rides smooth. Thanks ECGS!

Quick (and possibly dumb) question: I have Billu 5100's x4 on my '07 TRD Sport. Fronts are set at 1.75, and have slight vibration in the front. I have been told that a 1" diff drop should fix CV angles and mostly cure vibes, if not completely cure. My questions is this: If I've raised my front end 1.75", shouldn't I drop the diff 1.75 to return the CV angles to stock? It seems that with only a 1" diff drop, there's still .75" of lift angle on the joints. If so, I can't seem to find a diff drop kit that's more than an inch. Any help/suggestions is appreciated.

I wouldn't even waste your time or money on a diff drop . My 2 cents .

I tried the diff drop on my truck with the same lift as yours, and no difference.
Took it out. Put the bushing in and all will be good as said above.

Got rid of my vibe last night! I removed the needle bearing with the supplied tool from ECGS. It was straight forward and very simple, it worked like a charm. I purchased the race driver/install tool to install the new bushing (also from ECGS). The bushing install went very smoothly as well, simply followed directions from their website.

When I removed the stock CV axle, there were etchings/markings where things were rubbing where they shouldn't have. Prior to tearing the truck apart, I had a new cv axle on standby for replacement. So the new cv axle got installed.

All in all, I'm very pleased. Prior to the new bushing being put in, the truck vibrated pretty bad (the vibe repeatedly described in this thread), to the point where I didn't want to drive it. Now it feels like its back to stock again, aside from the beefier OME suspension and a slight shudder/vibe at take off up til 10-15mph. This vibe was also there since I lifted it, but I'm gonna play around w/ a combo of removing/installing the diff. drop (installed now) and some axle shims for the dakars. Rep sent to ECGS.

I have a brand new ECGS bushing that was never used. I decided to go a different route. If someone wants to take it off my hands for less than new, PM me.

Hey slc Tacoma... we need to have a garage party one night and swap these out. There is a member on here from west Jordan that is letting me use his puller tool and give me a hand since he's done his already

I installed a 1" diff drop on my '07 Sport and unfortunately...my vibes are GONE!!! I say "unfortunately", because it's just another example of how varied the results are with different remedies. I'm running 5100's all around with front @ 1.75. No TSB rear. After dropping the diff I have noticed a significant reduction in CV angles. No trimming of skid plate or anything. I have 265/70/17 Silent Armors. Time will tell if these results are lasting. For all we know I could be back tomorrow cursing my Taco to hell!

If you have a similar build and have vibes, might as well give it a shot. If it doesn't work for you, you'll only be out about 25 bucks and about 20-30 min worth of work. But if it does work, then it's a pretty simple solution.

My buddy has one in Heber as well (puller tool). I need to get seals and then I'm good to go. I had the needle bearing replaced last summer by the dealer but have 15k on my truck since and it's starting to resurface:mad: 5100's set to 2.5

Might ditch my rear riser blocks and go add-a-leaf since I'll have my sled in the back next Winter....

I need to take care of this too. Would you be willing to sell the removal & install tools? Or, send them to me and I'll send them back when I'm done? (I'll pay shipping both ways, of course.)

Do you still have the bushing available? I need one!
