    Unless you have a door opening up 100+ times a day or are in a highrise where there is a "chimney effect" from the air coming in on the ground floor then shooting up the elevator shafts to other floors the saving gained thermally from a revolving door will never pay off the added cost of one.

    The biggest factor is the need to put a door on both sides of the revolving door for egress and ADA rendering the revolver useless. 90% of the public will use the standard doors instead of the revolver because people do not like to be herded like cattle in a chute (revolving door).

    The other HUGE waste is doing a glass stack wall where glass is literally held up by glass for a "clean look". This type of install is usually only in government buildings and Universities where the owners could care less about costs. The efficient way would have been to use aluminum curtain wall to hold the glass, but architects and TV producers don't like seeing a 2" wide x 6" long piece of aluminum running from the ground to the ceiling.
