Yes I know there are a billion of these but I did several searches on TW on my phone and cant find my answer.... If you can search and find it that's awesome on ya post the link for me to read and this thread can die, i just couldn't find it.

I have a 2005 with stock SR5 wheels NOT TRD, the stock tire size was/is 245/75/16 I want to know how big I can go on the origanal rims! Can I fit 275 or even 285 with out problems?
I just replaced both front wheel bearings and was told it would be less stress on the new ones if i had wider tires!

Also I'd like to know if I was to buy some other rims (what ever will help me go big) what is the largest size tire I can fit under my truck as she sits..... Stock. NO Lift.

    Thanks for any help!!!
SORRY for repeat threading..... If its That big a deal can't you just Not open this thread!!!

265/75/16 is the largest you can go with stock suspension.

That's is great and good to have!! But I want to know if 265, 275, or ever 285 size tire will fit on my rim, and I don't know a thing about the rim size other than that's what came on the truck stock.

Ah i misread your original post, IIRC 265 is the largest you can go on the base sr5 rims (someone correct me if im wrong) Have you thought about getting a set or trd offroad or sport rims off of craigslist. I have 285's on my trd sport rims

Mag you had good info. You were right sorry I should have quoted I was saying the tire size calculator... Post above yours was good to have but needed more info...

Yeah I've since found you are right, 265 is as "big" as I can go. :-/

I actualy found some TRD rims (don't remember if sport or OffRoad) set of 4 for $100 on my local Craigslist that I may try and get, but I still don't think I can get 285's under my truck with SR5 suspension..... Can I?? If anyone knows this answer that would be cool to know too!

265/75/16 is the biggest tire you can go on stock suspension, you can get the billy 5100's set them at 2.5 and you'll be able to run 285's

Thanks man, yes offroad 4x4 :D
